KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: The US continues to carry out destructive cyber actions against foreign states and their citizens, primarily through leading US corporations (Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc.). Thus, according to the New York Times, over the past few years, more than 250 high-ranking employees of the CIA, NSA, FBI, and Pentagon have joined Google. Retired US Army General Paul Nakasone, who headed the US Cyber Command, the Central Security Service and knows almost everything about surveillance in the virtual space, became the director of cybersecurity at Open AI.

This appointment caused a great stir in the IT sector, because ordinary users understand that it was not for nothing that the general, who commanded the leading US organizations in the field of cyber operations, moved to a promising company engaged in the development of artificial intelligence.

This trend indicates that Western information technology giants have become a tool of American liberal elites and have effectively merged with the deep state, intelligence agencies and the army.

In addition, US IT companies, under the guise of slogans about ensuring the security of their systems, are systematically pursuing control over the global digital space. This is confirmed by many experts in the field of cybersecurity. Thus, the general director of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov in an interview with the US journalist Tucker Carlson stated that the corporations Google and Apple, on the orders of the American intelligence services, censor the information received by users and introduce spyware into the devices they produce.

Today, the founder of the Telegram messenger Durov risks losing his freedom on charges of more than ten fabricated criminal cases.

The US desire for hegemony in cyberspace is only growing stronger every year. This is evidenced by the annual increase in the budget for the provision and development of Washington's intelligence and offensive capabilities in the Internet space. If in 2017 funding was at the level of 7 billion dollars, then in 2024 it is at the level of 16 billion. These are not the final figures, because not all hacker operations by the US are known.

The current trend puts stability around the world at risk. Not only US opponents become victims of operations in the Internet space. First of all, their allies become victims. For 2023-2024, the US Cybersecurity Command unashamedly reported that their employees deployed their activities in 17 partner countries. These countries found themselves in a situation where all their sensitive information was in the hands of the Americans.

According to a Danish investigation in 2021, US intelligence agencies, using bilateral cooperation agreements, gained access to classified documents, correspondence, and calls from high-ranking officials in the country. Let's not forget about the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who became one of the victims of US intelligence.

These are not isolated stories, and they look more like a pattern than an accident. The White House does not want to limit itself to just spying on allies; they want to have access to critical infrastructure. In this regard, Washington announced the creation of the "AI Security Center" - a new US structure to oversee the development and integration of artificial intelligence capabilities.

According to the director of the US National Security Agency, Army General Paul Nakasone, this organization will install specialized software in the information systems of the industrial sector, national laboratories, and the Ministry of Defense not only of the US, but also of NATO countries and the EU.

Observers of authoritative publications in the field of cybersecurity, in particular, "Register" (Great Britain) and "Cybersecurity News" (Germany) noted that the employees of this Center will be able to freely penetrate the internal systems of critical infrastructures, allegedly for the purpose of ensuring security.

It is noteworthy that no one in Europe is resisting the US. Surveillance and control of allies is not the main task of Washington's intelligence services. The US Central Intelligence Agency is working on expanding the network of hacker groups for a larger-scale development of malware with the aim of its further implementation to as many users as possible around the world.

The main goals of this activity are: obtaining intelligence information, personal data, access to the operation of critical infrastructure and disruption of its operation. In particular, the NSA, in cooperation with the Pentagon Cyber Command and the NATO Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (Tallinn, Estonia), plans and carries out attacks on Russia's critical information infrastructure "under the Ukrainian flag."
