ABUJA, Nigeria-The Nigerian troops have cleared four suspected Boko Haram terrorists hideouts and killed 7 insurgents  in the North East of Bama in Borno State.

In a clear demonstration of its determined efforts to speedily eliminate the Boko Haram, the troops of 21 Armoured Brigade in Collaboration with some Civilian Joint Task Force(CJTF), stormed and cleared  some of the hideouts of the terrorists in Churchur, Mbaiwa, Kashimiri, China, as well as  many other newly established villages.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad region that the troops made contact with the terrorists in the course of the offensive patrol and eliminated 7 of them.

The sources said that  other terrorists fled their enclaves, leaving behind women, children and the elderly.

He added troops successfully burnt down the entire enclave and rescued some of the women and their children. 

Meanwhile, troops made sure that the villages were cleared of all suspected terrorists elements.
